4th of July Tube V2

Upgraded to a PVC cube frame with a tarp roof and chopped chair oars.

Overview

Year two is really when the tradition to go bigger started. A couple of days before the trip, I came up with an idea to improve my shade. Not just one pvc pipe, but a whole cube frame. It was simple, portable, and I could build it in the parking lot again so transportation wasn't an issue.

Key Upgrades

  • Improved Shade Full PVC frame to support tarp roof
  • Water Mobility Oars made from a chopped dining room chair

The Parts

One Home Depot trip later, I had all the pvc and connectors I needed

Living Room Build

I cut the pvc pipes to size and did a test build in my living room just to make sure the idea would work. I also cut up a broken dining room chair we had to give me some paddles allowing me to move the tube.

Floating On The Water

Boom! Goal achieved of making my tube better than the previous year.
